Jablonec costume jewellery is becoming known all over the world for its beauty and quality. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, a number of companies were established in the region to cut glass stones, beads and chandelier trimmings. Seven of the most important of these became the foundations of the first Preciosa factories after World War II. Preciosa was officially founded on 10 April 1948 in Jablonec nad Nisou, the true cradle of the glass jewellery industry. To this day, the brand is at the very top among manufacturers of cut stones and therefore also products made from them. In addition to jewellery, it also makes gift accessories, such as the famous collections of animals, candle holders, etc.
