Gloss finish porcelain figurine of a baby with a handmade crown of flowers on an elephant embellished with vividly coloured decorative motifs. More
The elephant, the symbol of royalty, is the absolute star of the annual Jaipur festival in the state of Rajasthan (India). This begins with a spectacular procession, in which the most beautiful specimens parade, bedecked in their finery. In this piece, a small rider seems to have fallen asleep on the back of a beautiful elephant, richly decorated to participate in the festival. The boy's head is encircled by a diadem of delicate porcelain flowers and his mount is beautifully decorated with bright colours.
