Modern decor |
Besides the classical rich cut, the lead crystal articles are decorated also with numerous light cut decorations among them most known being probably so-called "Pinwheel". In addition to the rich and light cut decorations, lead crystal is cut with modern decorations to the designs by renowned glass designers.Among the favorites of many crystal connoisseurs belong formal dinnerware sets in elegantly sculpted designs with exquisite flute-cut motifs, reminiscent of world-known glassware Moser.
The distinction is that Moser pieces are made of a lead-free hard crystal and are all handpolished, while aforementioned glass has a 10% lead content and is acidpolished. Although purists insist on handpolishing, for most glass lovers there is no visible difference. If anything, acid-polishing makes the surface look even more perfectly finished than handpolishing. An additional factor is a price: If you adore Moser glassware but can't afford it, you should consider crystal pieces that carry the company label with an upturned "C" in the shape of a goblet. The present collection comprises valuable hand made decorative and utility crystal glass with a design for the third millenium.
